I hope you all had a good start into the new year!
Today I have something healthy for you, one of my most favorite teas at the moment: Ginger Lemon Tea with Honey. But please don’t be afraid, I am not going to drown you now with healthy recipes on this blog. I still like to bake and eat sweets and I am not going to stop that only because it is a new year 😉 I am only baking at the weekends anyway, so that should not become a big problem 😉
The only new years resolutions that I have is to find more balance between work, private life and blogging. Cherish the time with friends and loved ones more. Blog-wise I have a hole wishlist of things I want to try and bake, but lets see how much I can achieve to do 😉
The reason why I do post something healthy as my first post in 2014 is that this tea actually is quite good for you for several reasons. After the holidays and too much food your stomach might not be all too happy. Ginger is actually really good against stomach problems but also helps against inflammation. The lemon gives you an extra boost of Vitamin C which is also good for you. Hopefully it will keep you fit during those cold winter days coming.
Ginger Lemon Tea with Honey
- Clean the ginger and cut of two thin slices
- Brew some water
- Add the lemon juice, the honey and the ginger slices to a big cup (or divide between two small cups)
- Add the hot water and brew it for about 5 minutes
- Remove the ginger and add more honey if prefered
for about one big cup or two small ones
- 300-350ml hot Water
- 2 slices of Ginger
- 1 Tbsp of Lemon Juice
- 1 Tsp of Honey
